Description
The Nigeria Branch and the London Branch Committee of the Ciarb are pleased to invite you to a joint event focusing on Climate Change and International Arbitration, in Lagos.
This seminar will consider the global transition towards clean sustainable energy and the implementation of measures aimed at promoting transitions towards more flexible, transparent and cleaner energy systems. The discourse will also interrogate the global trends on how the commitment to transition to net-zero often gives rise to new investments and contracts, from which conflicts and disputes may result, with a view to proposing arbitration as an efficient means of resolving such disputes.
Attendees will hear from leading international arbitrators and business analysts in two insightful sessions. The first session discusses the problem of climate change and the issues flowing therefrom, while the second session interrogates the utility of arbitration as an efficient channel of resolving climate change disputes.
